The site may record the page URL, referring page, time, scroll milestones, outbound-link clicks, form-submission events, browser user agent, and advertising or campaign tags already present in the URL.

What Utah Plumbing Prices collects and why
Reading a guide, checking a quote, and asking a plumber to review a job are three different activities. This notice explains the information used in each path, who can receive it, and how to ask for access, correction, or deletion.

Information collected when you browse
The public site uses first-party, in-house measurement so we can see whether a guide is useful and whether links and tools work. We do not need your name, email, or phone number for an ordinary page view.
First-party identifiers
A random visitor identifier may be stored in a first-party cookie for up to one year. A separate per-tab session identifier is stored in session storage so visits and time on site can be measured without asking who you are.
Network information
The receiving server can process the IP address supplied with a request. The quote checker stores a one-way hash for rate limiting and abuse prevention rather than publishing the address.
No public profile
Browsing events are used for site operations and aggregate analysis. They are not displayed as a public homeowner profile or attached to a public company review.

Information used by the independent price check
The quick checker is designed to return a comparison before the optional plumber-review form. The research record is private and is used to operate the result, enforce the three-check daily limit, and improve the mapped pricing data.
Scope and price fields
The record may include the selected service or task, city or ZIP, quoted amount, benchmark used, comparison result, source page, and a generated event identifier.
Quote-source choice
You may name the company that supplied the quote or select “I prefer not to say.” A named submission is not published as an accusation, rating, or public company page.
Verification and anti-abuse
Depending on the version of the checker, an email address may be verified and stored as a one-way hash. IP and browser identifiers may also be hashed to enforce limits and detect automated abuse.
Research use
Structured quote-check records may be analyzed in aggregate to understand local price questions, service demand, and gaps in the guide. We do not sell these records or use them to build a public dossier about a homeowner.

Information used for a quote request
Nothing is sent to a plumber merely because you read a guide or view a price-check result. The review path begins only when you enter contact information, accept the text-message disclosure, and submit the request.
Contact and job details
A request can include your name, phone, email, city or address, problem description, selected answers, quote amount, and other job details you type into the form.
Documents, photos, and video
Files you deliberately upload are attached to the private lead record so an authorized plumber can examine equipment, connections, access, written scope, and project conditions.
SMS consent record
The system records that you accepted the displayed text-message disclosure, along with a consent version and timestamp. Consent covers messages about the request you submitted. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out.
Routing to Mountain Man Plumbing
Requests submitted through the current Utah Plumbing Prices review path are delivered to Mountain Man Plumbing’s private CRM and authorized staff for follow-up. If a future partner version routes elsewhere, the widget must identify that recipient before submission.

Retention, sharing, and security
We retain submitted information as a private research and review record. Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information to run the site, protect it, improve the pricing guide, or respond to the request.
Uploaded-file retention
Written quotes, photos, and videos are retained privately with the submission so the job can be reviewed again and the pricing guide can learn from real market quotes. They are not published.
Structured records
Quote-check research events, lead records, consent evidence, and operational logs may be retained for service, security, recordkeeping, dispute handling, and aggregate research.
Limited sharing
Information may be processed by hosting, security, communications, and CRM providers acting for the site; by the plumber receiving an explicit review request; or when disclosure is reasonably required by law, safety, or protection of rights.
No sale or targeted advertising
Utah Plumbing Prices does not sell personal data and does not use submitted quote-review information for third-party targeted advertising. Campaign tags may still be recorded to understand how a visitor reached the site.

Your choices and requests
You can use the editorial guides without submitting a quote or contact form. When you do provide information, you may ask us to explain, correct, copy, or delete the personal data associated with you, subject to identity verification and lawful recordkeeping exceptions.
Make a privacy request
Email [email protected] with “Utah Plumbing Prices privacy request” in the subject. Include enough information to locate the record, but do not email passwords, payment-card information, or unnecessary sensitive documents.
Text-message choice
Text follow-up is optional and tied to the submitted quote request. Reply STOP to an incoming message to opt out. A privacy request and an SMS opt-out are separate choices, and either can be made without buying a service.
Verification and response
We may confirm the phone, email, submission reference, or other facts needed to prevent someone else from obtaining or deleting your information. Requests are handled under applicable law and operational record requirements.
Children and changes
The site is for homeowners and adults arranging residential plumbing work, not for children. This notice may be updated when the tools, partners, or laws change; the effective date below identifies the current version.
